Tis the season for sales! And with that being said… The Sephora sale starts October 30th for rouge members. You can get 20% off your fav beauty products, so I thought I’d share some of my favourite products and some products I’ll be picking up.
Some of the holiday sets this year are amazing. I’m talking full sized products and decently sized samples. I’ll be picking up a few to giveaway to you guys! There’s obviously tons of gift sets so I’ve just picked out the ones that are worth it (aka have full sized products etc).
The Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Set comes with a full size lipstick and four mini lip products in the classic pillow talk shade. These mini’s are perfect for tossing in your purse (don’t worry – they aren’t ridiculously mini). Considering the amount of product you’re getting in this set I think it’s such a good price and would make a great gift.
The Summer Friday’s Hydration Set features one full size product and two mini’s (their lip balm+jet lag mask). Again, I think the price of this is great for what you get and the mini’s are a decent size too so you’re not getting ridiculously small samples.
The Virtue Recovery Collection, which features all of their recovery line in 60ml containers. So good!! You can really test out this line and then decide if you want to purchase the full size. Love the price point of this too.
The Dermalogica Cleanse+Glow Set, which features 3 full-size product. This is a STEAL so if you love Dermalogica products I would highly recommend scooping this up before it’s gone!
The Ouai Melrose Place Kit is such a good gift idea. The body cream in this is limited edition so this would make for a super luxe gift. Price point is great too. The packaging is so cute!!
The Briogeo Multi-Masking Kit, which features a full size of their honey bear hair mask. This is a cult favourite mask that you cannot buy individually (annoying I know). However you get three masks in this set and Briogeo masks are amazing so I think it’s definitely worth it.
The Olaplex Holiday Hair Fix Set is also a really good steal! Four 100ml products for $80? UNREAL. This is gonna sellout super fast.
The First Aid Beauty All That Fab Kit contains 4 full siz products and 1 mini for $65! This is also such a steal and I think will be one of the sets that sells out quickly. Hint: I’m giving this guy away 😉
The Too Faced Enchanted Makeup Set, which comes in two versions and is under $50! Such a good set and price point. I always love Too Faced holiday sets.
This is the perfect time to restock on all your favs, which is exactly what I’ll be doing. I’ve also had my eye on some new goodies I wanna try so here’s what I’ll be picking up.
My favourite overnight hydrating mask is the Summer Fridays Jet Lag mask. For the holidays they’ve come out with an extra large tube, which I’ll most definitely be picking up during the sale.
I’ve been loving the Ole Henriksen Truth Juice Daily Cleanser. It’s a gel cleanser with a lovely citrus scent and PHA’s to help gently exfoliate. I love how it makes my skin look and feel and it’s cleansing without stripping. Excellent for all skin types. I’ll be restocking it during the sale.
One of my favourite exfoliants to use during the colder months is the Ole Henriksen Facial Sauna Scrub. It has a warming effect when you rub it into the skin and has a blend of glycolic and lactic acids for the best exfoliation ever. Bonus: it smells like eucalyptus, which makes me feel like I’m at the spa.
Makeup removers are always in my cart during. This year I’ll be purchasing my two favourites, which are the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Oil and the Dermalogica Precleanse Cleansing Oil. Both are super gentle but amazing at getting all your makeup off, even waterproof mascara!
I’m not really a toner gal but I’ve been wanting to add one into my nighttime routine to help with enlarged pores and dark spots. I’m picking up this Glow Recipe Watermelon Toner to see if it will help with my pores and dull skin.
I LOVE oils at night so I’m going to pick up one that’s an OG in my skincare routine and one I’ve heard really good things about. The first one that I always have on hand is the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Oil, which I LOVE. The one I’m going to pickup to try is the Youth To The People Hydrate+Glow Oil, which people rave about.
The last skincare goodie I’ll be picking up is outrageously expensive but works WONDERS. I’ve been testing this product out for a few weeks now and my skin has never looked so clear, even and smooth. I only use this once or twice a week so the 30 pack should last me a while. Trust me, I know the price tag is scary but the product is truly amazing. I’m talking about the Dr. Dennis Gross Daily Peel. If you’re dealing with acne scarring this is the product for you! I LOVE it so much… I wish I didn’t because damn, so expensive. But it’s definitely worth the price tag.
Let’s move on to haircare, which is actually something that people ask me about a lot. I’m currently experiencing some hair loss/thinning from stress and health reasons so I’m going to stock up on some of my favourite masks+conditioners to give my hair some good nourishment. Here’s what I’ll be picking up.
My favourite conditioner of all time is the Virtue Recovery Conditioner. It has this alpha keratin complex that is totally unique and you won’t find it any other product. It’s strengthened my hair so much and when I’m consistent with using it my hair grows like a weed. I love this stuff. It’s expensive but I haven’t found a conditioner that gives me the same results.
I’m loading up on hair masks this winter to try and save my hair from the dry weather. The Amika Soulfood Hair Mask is so luxe and nourishing. It also smells like a tropical dream. I love this stuff so much. Good for all hair types.
You know when you’ve gone days without washing your hair and now it’s mostly dry shampoo? Been there, done that. This Ouai Detox Shampoo is the only thing that makes my scalp feel normal after a dry shampoo week. It doesn’t strip your colour and smells glorious.
For all my blonde babes this one is for you. The Amika Purple Shampoo is the BEST purple shampoo I’ve ever used. I’ve used so many I’ve lost count and always go back to this guy. It’s super nourishing and hydrating but also gets rid of any brass. Careful though because it is REALLY pigmented. I’m repurchasing this during the sale.
Before I put any heat on my hair I always use a heat protectant. I’ve been using the Bumble and Bumble Primer and my hair post blow-dry looks super shiny and feels healthy and hydrated. I’ll be repurchasing this during the sale.
The last product on my hair wish list is the Gisou Honey Hair Oil. People rave about this product and I really want to see what the hype is. I use hair oil before and after I style so it’s a staple in my haircare routine.
I’m not a huge makeup gal these days but there are some products I wanna share with you that I think are definitely worth the splurge during the sale.
The IT Cosmetics CC cream is pretty much the only ‘foundation’ I use. It gives great coverage and is loaded with skincare ingredients. It doesn’t feel heavy and it looks natural on the skin. If you ever see me wearing makeup I’m most likely wearing this.
I always use a primer before my foundation and the Becca Skin Love Primer is my absolute favourite. It brightens, blurs and hydrates and gives you the perfect canvas for foundation. This I’ll be repurchasing during the sale.
If you’re looking for a new eyeshadow palette and love warm tones then the Tarte Toasted Palette is exactly what you need! The colours are incredible and the pigment is so so good. I love this palette so much it’s pretty much the only eyeshadow I ever use.
I love cream blushes and Nudestix makes some of the best. My favourite shades are Beach Babe and Sunset Strip. My favourite is this matte formula but I know they also have a dewy formula that is super pretty for summer skin.
My favourite bronzer of all time is the Becca Sunlit Bronzer. I’ve have 3 different shades for when I’m self tanned etc. I love how natural it looks on the skin as if you’re naturally sun kissed. Definitely recommend checking these out if you’re a bronzer lover.
I’m not really a lip girl but these Buxom Plumping Lipglosses are THE BEST. There are so many shades to choose from and the plumping effect is so good. Highly highly recommend.
Bath & Body
The time to treat yourself to some luxe body goodies is now. I love bougie body care but I hate spending money on it. Thus, the sale is the perfect time to indulge or pickup something for somebody you love. Here are my favourite bougie body products.
Necessaire products are my new favourite form of self-care. Their eucalyptus line smells amazing (like real eucalyptus!!). I love their body wash and just started using their scrub and lotion. I think getting the shower gel+scrub+lotion would be a great holiday gift! They also have a fragrance-free and sandalwood scent.
If you like baths+bath bombs then you’ll love The Ouai Chill Pills. They are jasmine and rose scented and filled with tons of oils that leave your skin feeling super hydrated and smooth. These are such a nice bath treat on a cold night.
One of my favourite body butters of all time is the Kiehl’s Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter. It’s lightweight but extremely hydrating and the scent is incredible. It has shea and jojoba butters and feels super luxe. I adore this product. This would make such a good gift.
If you have someone in your life who loves wine the Caudalie Cabernet Scrub would make a really fun gift. This is one of my favourite indulgent body products. It smells like nothing I’ve ever smelled before (so good!!!) and really makes your skin feel amazing.
If you have someone in your life who loves post-workout body care then the Indie Lee Recover Mind+Body Gel is the perfect gift. It has arnica, lavender, eucalyptus and menthol that helps soothe achy muscles. Think tiger balm but way better smelling and way more luxe.
If you want a really luxurious bath try the Goop Emotional Detox Bath Soak. It has Himalayan pink salts, chia seed oil and wildcrafted frankincense. It’s super soothing and such a nice treat.
