It’s fall ya’ll! The most wonderful time of year in my opinion. With a new season comes time for a slightly new beauty routine. It’s time to start pulling out all my most hydrating products and some bronzing beauty’s to help beat the cold Canadian weather. Scroll on to see my must-have beauty products for fall!

A Heavy-Duty Facial Moisturizer

The colder weather really does wonders for my super dry skin!!! Lolz not. So this means I need to replace my lightweight summer moisturizers for something a little more nourishing.

My go-to is always Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer SPF 30! Trust me, the SPF makes a difference. This is so so good under makeup and lasts forever. I believe it also comes in multiple sizes, which is great if you’re a heavy hander with product. It has no scent and absorbs super quick!

At night time I like something really rich to plump up my skin while I’m sleeping. I’ve been using the Caudalie Vinosource SOS Hydration Intense and loving the results! This has helped immensely with my dry patches. The main ingredients are grape water, grape seed polyphenols and squalane, which really packs a hydrating punch!

Exfoli-Musts

To help all my hydrating products really sink in and do their job I exfoliate my face 2-3 times a week. Sometimes more depending on how it feels. I prefer a physical exfoliant to a chemical exfoliant because my skin is suuuuuper dry and I need to slough off all the dry bits.

My current RIDE or DIE (I mean that, I can’t live without this stuff) is Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. This is a cult product for a reason my peeps. You can use this every day if you want! It’s super gentle. The ingredients include salicylic acid, colloidal oatmeal and tea tree – this combo will help keep your skin clear. If you suffer from stubborn acne I would recommend giving this product a try. The mini size will last you a while so I start off with the small guy and use it every other day for a week. I promise you’ll see great results!

When I wanna treat myself to a little sunday funday spa day I’ll use Ole Henriksen Pore-Balance Facial Sauna Scrub. This actually warms up while you’re rubbing it into your face and feels/smells AMAZING. It’s main ingredients are volcanic sand, glycolic and lactic acids and neem seed oil. This is great if you have blackheads or oily skin!

Luxe Facial Oils/Serums

Are these necessary? No. Do they work wonders on your skin? A big YUP. Sometimes my skin needs that extra bit of umph to kick it back in shape. And let’s be honest, there’s a lot of social events this time of year so my skin is looking a litttttttle hungover. So these two products are my go-to when I’ve had one too many tequila sodas.

To help get rid of the sunday scaries and my very dehydrated skin I reach for this little cutie: Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil. I love that this oil isn’t greasy or sits on top of your skin. It really sinks in and the results are almost immediate. Use this under the SOS moisturizer and nobody will ever know you went out all weekend.

For when my skin is feeling EXTRA thirsty I reach for my Inner Glow Face Oil from Amandine Sol Botanicals. This product is made in Toronto and has every hydrating and regenerating essential oil you could think of: grape seed, calendula, lavender oil, carrot seed oil, lemon peel oil, bergamot peel, jasmine extract. Just to name a few! Plus the bottle looks insanely chic on your vanity.

Hair-Apy PLEASE

Just like our skin and bodies our hair needs some help in the colder weather. Especially being a bottle blonde, I need all the help I can get.

I start in the shower and swap out my conditioner for something that will nourish my hair but also repair it, which is where Playa Supernatural Conditioner comes in. This product smells so luxury and the smell lingers long after the shower. Even my boyfriend commented on how nice my hair smelled! It has this really neat technology that self-adjusts to all hair types. The more damaged your hair is, the harder this conditioner will work. I’ve noticed SUCH a difference in the fullness of my hair. I’m convinced this has helped it grow. I love this brand and all that they stand for. I can’t wait to try more from them.

When I wanna do the whole take a bath and chill thing I will reach for the Ouai Treatment Masque. I’ll wash my hair first and ring it out so it’s damp. I then put a liberal amount of this mask on and let my hair sit and soak up it’s goodness for 20 minutes. I used to not really get the hype of Ouai but now I get it. This hair mask is unlike any other and I love it’s signature Ouai scent. This is especially great for people who use bleach on their hair!

Faux-Tan Favourites

Our summer tans have now faded so it’s time for some faux-glow! I don’t think you guys will be shocked by my tops picks. But in case you’re new here, these are my favourites.

I’ve tried TONS of self-tanners but I will always always always recommend the Loving Tan Deluxe Bronzing Mousse. There’s nothing that compares to it. It’s not streaky, it’s easy to apply, the colour pay-off is insane and it’s hydrating. This tan also lasts sooo much longer than other’s I’ve tried. It’s the only one I’ll use on my body. If you’re looking for a new self-tanner, here you go! For reference – I use the colour “dark”. I would recommend using the shade medium if you’re super pale.

You can use the above on your face but I prefer not to. I don’t like the feeling. So instead I use Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops. I put maybe four drops into my moisturizer at night (don’t forget to rub into your ears and neck!) and in the morning I’m a glowing, sunkissed goddess. There’s very little smell and this bottle will last you FOREVER since you’re only using a few small drops every couple of days or as desired. I use the shade medium.

Body Hydrators

Finally, the end is near! The last thing I’ll touch on is the body care I use in the colder months. My body skin actually doesn’t get too try despite my face being like the desert. Here’s my pretty simple body routine.

My current favourite body wash is the Dr. Teals Pure Epson Salt Body Wash. It smells amazing, lathers up well, leaves me feeling hydrated and helps with sore muscles and aches and pains. I love how big the bottle is and that it’s a pump rather than having to turn the bottle upside down for product. This is perfect if you share a bathroom with a significant other because the scent is gender neutral. No need to buy two different body washes!

When I’m about to self-tan I always shave and exfoliate. My current favourite body scrub is the Dove Crushed Lavender & Coconut Milk Scrub. Lavender is one of my favourite scents and this is super hydrating but also really scrubby.

And finally, the body lotion I use. This changes constantly depending on my mood and skin. Right now I’m really loving Love Beauty and Planet Murumuru Butter & Rose Body Lotion. It’s really nourishing but not greasy and smells luxe. If rose isn’t your thing they have a bunch of other scents available too. I love that I can just get it at my local drugstore or on Amazon Prime. The bottle is also super cute and pretty, which is an added bonus.

So there’s my current fall beauty lineup! I hope you enjoyed and got some product inspo in the process. Let me know if you want more beauty roundups.
